Oxford Crime Reports for June 20, 2018
The following reports were made Wednesday, June 20 by city and county law enforcement agencies.
Oxford Police Department investigated seven wrecks, issued 21 tickets and responded to the following calls:

1 ambulance assist
2 false pretense reports
1 improper parking
1 K9 search
1 lost property
1 petty theft
1 phone harassment
1 simple assault
4 suspicious activities
2 suspicious people
1 suspicious vehicle
1 welfare check
OPD made the following arrests:
1 DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to yield
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and expired tag
1 possession of drug paraphernalia and no seat belt
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department investigated two wrecks and the following reports:
1 simple assault
2 alarms
3 animal complaints
2 disturbances
2 service calls
1 suspicious activities
2 welfare checks
2 transports
2 trespassing
3 informational reports
2 court details
1 road obstruction
1 civil matter
6 papers served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made the following arrests:
1 commercial burglary
1 DUI
University Police Department responded to two wrecks, conducted two traffic stops and performed one traffic detail.
Oxford Fire Department responded at 8:49 a.m. to First Baptist Church for a water flow alarm; at 12:57 p.m. to 408 Highway 6 West area for a wreck with injury; at 5:20 p.m. to Anderson Estates for a 3-year-old who had his leg stuck between the pedal and the frame of his bike; and at 9:39 p.m. to 904 Stonebridge for a public assist call.
