Zippia Ranks Ole Miss Best College for Post-Grad Employment
The University of Mississippi was named the top university in Mississippi for job employment after graduation.
The study found 91.26 percent of Ole Miss graduates were employed 10 years post-graduation. This is the second year in a row Ole Miss claimed the title.
The career expert website used the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) to configure which university in each state had the best job placement percentage.
IPEDS is the statistics, research, and evaluation arm of the U.S. Department of Education. Zippia searched for the college in each state with the highest listed job placement ratings.
The website looked at the ratings of each state’s top school according to the employment percentages and ranked them accordingly. Each school’s rating was rounded down to the last two decimal places for readability.
Alaska had the lowest job placement rate—84.66 percent—and Pennsylvania had the highest—96.19 percent.
