Oxford Woman Arrested for 3rd DUI

OPD arrested Oxford resident Shanicwa Coleman, 26, for DUI at a driver’s license checkpoint May 26.

Officers learned this was Coleman’s third conviction, as she had two prior DUI convictions in the past five years, police reported.
In Mississippi a 3rd DUI charge results in a 1-5 year jail sentence, $2,000-$5,000 payment in fines and penalties and a 5 year license suspension, according to the DMV. 
Coleman was booked into the Lafayette County Detention Center and issued a $10,000 bond by a justice court judge.
