Diamond Rebels Advance to SEC Championship Game

The No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels pulled off a 2-1 victory over Texas A&M to advance to the SEC Tournament Championship.

Ole Miss (45-15) used a strong fourth inning to secure a third straight victory in the tournament.
For the second straight day the Rebels got into a pitchers dual with Texas A&M in the first three innings.
The diamond Rebels struck first in the fourth with a single by Nick Fortes. Cole Zabowski brought him home on a RBI groundout. Will Golsan scored Thomas Dillard.
Ole Miss’ starter Jordan Fowler kept the Aggie batters guessing at the plate. Fowler worked six innings and gave up six hits in the outing.
Will Ethridge entered the game in the seventh with a runner on first to get out of a no-out jam without allowing the run.
Fortes finished the day 2-for-3 at the dish with two singles.
Texas A&M loaded the bases in the bottom of the eighth and scratched across one run.
Ole Miss will take on the winner of LSU and Arkansas for the SEC Tournament Championship Sunday at 2 p.m. on ESPN 2.
