Ole Miss Volleyball Recruiting Class Receives Highest Honorable Mention
Ole Miss volleyball team’s 2018 recruiting class earned its second Highest Honorable Mention honors by PrepVolleyball.com. These are players who have excelled at the high school and varsity level.
“We are excited to add another great recruiting class to our program,” head coach Steven McRoberts said. “We have solid freshmen coming in that will immediately compete for playing time and all of them will make our practices better every day.”
The four-member class includes PrepVolleyball Senior Ace Aubrey Sultemeier, who joined the team in January. The 6-3 middle blocker from Fredericksburg, Texas, made her presence known in the spring and could make an immediate impact this season.
Joining Sultemeier and the rest of the Rebels this summer will be outside hitters Lauren Thompson (Springdale, Arkansas), Hannah Puddy (Dallas, Texas) and defensive specialist Avery Bugg (Morrisville, North Carolina).
Thompson earned Under Armour Honorable Mention All-America honors in 2017 and was a three-time member of the Arkansas All-State Team.
Bugg earned 2017 Under Armour All-America Honorable Mention honors and was also named a Senior Ace by PrepVolleyball.com.
Puddy helped lead Bishop Lynch High School to state titles in 2015, 2016 and a runner-up finish in 2017. She was named to the AVCA Under Armour Phenom List in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
