OHS Swimmers Receive MSHAA Academic Team Award
Oxford High School excels in both athletics and the classroom once again.
The swim team received the Academic Team Award by the Mississippi High School Athletic Association on Tuesday. The award is given to a select number of teams who have a collective 3.0+ GPA by MHSAA.
Assistant Swim Coach Hayley Murphy said she’s proud of her student athletes’ achievements.
“The kids that swim for Oxford are very dedicated individuals,” Murphy said. “They try their best through every aspect of life, and it’s reflected by their grades in the classroom. They are committed to the highest standard that is asked of them at Oxford. I am very proud of their hard work.“
The Chargers head coach Robert Gonzalez accepted the award at the MHSAA yearly board meeting.
