Elantra Cox Three-Peats as NFCA All-Region Honoree
For the third consecutive-year, Ole Miss outfielder Elantra Cox has been named to the NFCA All-South Region squad, earning a spot on the third team.
Cox is one of three outfielders selected to the third team, joining Texas A&M’s Sarah Hudek and Samford’s Shelby Maze. The Henderson, Tennessee native is one of just nine outfielders in the South Region to receive all-region laurels.
Ole Miss’ all-time leader in hits, runs and stolen bases, Cox paces the Rebels with a .337 average, scoring a team-high 39 runs on the season to go along with three doubles, three triples and 13 RBIs. The senior has been nearly impossible to corral on the base paths, successfully stealing on 27-of-31 attempts.
Cox becomes the first player in program-history to be named NFCA All-Region three times and is one of just two Ole Miss players to be honored multiple times, joining Lauren Grill.
