Carolyn Freiwald, an anthropology professor and archeologist at Ole Miss, has discovered findings that lead her to believe were left behind by those who built the university.
“All these sketches that you see, postdate the Civil War by decades,” Freiwald said.
Freiwald takes her students around the campus to find evidence of the past and try to discover who actually played a roll in building the campus, including fingerprints of a child left in bricks.
