No. 3 Ole Miss got the bats going early against Arkansas Pine Bluff on Wednesday to win the game 10-3 to move to 35-11 on the year.

Nick Fortes belted his ninth home run in the bottom of the first inning. His teammate, Anthony Servideo delivered his first career homer put away any hope for a Golden Lions comeback as Ole Miss stormed to a 6-0 lead after two innings.
The Rebels starter’ Jordan Fowler picked up his fifth win of the season going 4.1 innings with only three hits allowed, striking out three in the process. He allowed just one run while on the mound, an RBI double in the third, but was credited two more, one earned, following his departure in the fifth. Then coach Mike Bianco called on the arm of Connor Green. Green worked 1.1 innings without giving up a run.
Grae Kessinger had his second career four-hit game against UAPB, going 4-for-4 with a double and three singles. Kessinger also scored three times in the game.
In the first, Ole Miss got Kessinger and Thomas Dillard aboard before Fortes walked up to the dish and delivered a three-run bomb over the left field wall to give the Rebels a lead they couldn’t relinquish.
Servideo’s dinger came in the second inning and the two-run shot to right brought Cooper Johnson in to score as well. Cole Zabowski added an RBI later in the inning on a single to score Kessinger, and the Rebels took a 6-0 lead into the third inning.
Ole Miss didn’t stop there as they struck again twice in the game, plating two runs in the sixth on an error by shortstop and again in the eighth on a two-RBI single off the bat of Will Golsan.
Fowler and Green were not the only two hurlers that came to the mound for the Rebels against UAPB as Austin Miller made an appearance for an 1.1 not allowing a run. Dallas Woolfolk and Greer Houston came in and each pitched an inning of scoreless baseball.
Ole Miss steps back into conference action this weekend as they travel to Columbia, South Carolina to take on the Gamecocks. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on Friday night.
