D1 Baseball Ranks Rebels No. 4 in the Nation
Ole Miss Baseball continues to climb the polls as they sit at No. 4 in the nation, according to D1 Baseball rankings, after a series win over the LSU Tigers this past weekend.
Ole Miss (34-11, 12-9 SEC) jumped up two spots from No. 6 in the poll after going 2-2 on the week. The diamond Rebels took two of three from the Tigers after dropping the first midweek game of the season to Mississippi State in Tuesday’s Governor’s Cup.
The Rebels are now neck-and-neck with the Arkansas Razorbacks for control of the SEC West. A total of six teams from the SEC are in the Top 25 this week with the Gators leading the way at No. 1.
Ole Miss heads to Columbia, South Carolina to take on the Gamecocks this weekend in a series tilt. Last weekend, South Carolina won two of three against the Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville.
The diamond Rebels welcome Arkansas Pine Bluff to town on Wednesday. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m.
