FNC Park Host Double Decker "No Pain No Gain" Tournament
This weekend FNC Park host their annual Double Decker – No Pain No Gain UAAASA tournament that has a total of 119 teams competing in it. Teams will range from the age groups of U7 all the way up to U14.
The teams will bring in a large number of spectators over the weekend.
“With that many teams we expect to have around three or four thousand people coming in and out of the gates,” said Clay Brownlee, assistant director of FNC Park.
Teams will begin on Friday and Saturday in pool play with each team granted three games. If a team wins past the three games, the team will be reseeded for Sunday’s bracket style games.
“We will crown champions in the 7-year-olds, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13’s and 14’s,” Brownlee said.
This is the 10th year that FNC Park has hosted a Double Decker Tournament.
“The good thing about Double Decker is that everybody wants to come and play in this tournament so they also enjoy Double Decker,” Brownlee said. “Every year its one of our biggest in the amount of teams.”
