Oxford Conference Center for the Book Brings Lecture for the Kids
Matt De La Pena, author of children’s book, “Last Stop on Market Street”
Oxford and Lafayette County schools’ first graders filled the Gertrude C. Ford Center Thursday morning to kick off the second day of the 25th annual Oxford Conference for the Book.
Children’s author Matt De La Pena shared why and how he wrote his book, “Last Stop on Market Street.” Lafayette County Literacy Council donated several copies of the new children’s book for each first grader in attendance to receive a free copy of their own.
