The Ole Miss baseball team returns to the diamond this Tuesday morning as they play host to the New Orleans Privateers for the annual school-day game. First pitch is set for 11 a.m.

Ole Miss (19-2) jumped up three spots in the D1 Baseball polls to No. 5 in the nation after taking two of three games from the Tennessee Volunteers over the weekend.
Junior second baseman Jacob Adams is coming off a breakthrough week for the Rebels. The junior college transfer hit .636/1.182/.733 last week with two doubles and his second career HR. He posted a six for 10 mark in his first SEC series.
Sophomore Thomas Dillard has become a feared power hitter early this season, taking just 21 games to eclipse his HR total from all of last season, now with five on the 2018 campaign. He hit his fifth in Game 3 against Tennessee.
New Orleans rolls into Oxford with a 9-11 record after a 14-10 victory over Abilene Christian on Sunday.
The Privateers boast three regular starters hitting above .300 as well as OF Orynn Veillon, who has played in only the four most recent games this season but carries a .438 batting average. His teammate Owen Magee is right on his heels with a .329 average hitting three home runs and leads the club with 15 RBIs.
Ole Miss and New Orleans have met on the diamond 12 times prior to this morning’s game. The Rebels are 9-3 all time against the Privateers, including a perfect 4-0 mark under head coach Mike Bianco.
The probable pitching matchup for this midweek series tilt will showcase the arm of RHP Houston Roth to take the mound for the Rebels. Roth has a 4.98 ERA on the season in 21.2 innings of work. New Orleans will go with RHP Rafe Schindler who is 1-0 on the season with a 0.00 ERA in 2.0 innings pitched.
Fans can listen to all the action on the Ole Miss Radio Network or watch the game on SEC Network +.
