Obituary: Celebrating the Life of Jerry Earl "Cracker" Mason, Jr.
Mr. Jerry Earl “Cracker” Mason, Jr., 51, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Mason was born in Orlando, Florida. He was described as a down-home, country boy, who loved the outdoors. Mr. Mason was fascinated with hunting and fishing. He always had a way of brightening up the room with his one-of-a-kind, comical quotes. However, Mr. Mason enjoyed spending time with his family at his famous cookouts more than anything.
Mr. Mason is survived by his mother, Eva Dell Jones of East Dublin, Georgia; his father, Jerry Earl Mason, Sr., of East Dublin; one son, Barry Teske of Oxford; two granddaughters, Brooklyn Teske and Willow Teske, both of Oxford; five sisters, Wendy Eubanks of Oxford, and Amy Mason, Jody Mason, Audrey Hester and Emily Brantley, all of East Dublin; two brothers, Woody Mason of East Dublin, and Darin Russell of Oxford; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Online condolences may be left on the Tribute Wall at www.colemanfuneralhome.com.
