Improper Parking, Scam and More in Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: Three alarms, two ambulance assist, animal complaint, two careless driving, civil matter, code enforcement, disturbing the peace, fire department assist, improper parking, lost property, malicious mischief, motorist assist, other agency assist, petit larceny, scam, three suspicious activity, suspicious vehicle.
Oxford police investigated  seven accident, 27 tickets and made the following arrests:
DUI 1st, Careless Driving, Speeding
Fake ID
No Driver’s License, No Insurance, No Headlights
Open Container
Possession of Paraphernalia, No Headlights, No Insurance
Public Drunk
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, three alarms, two animal complaints, disturbance, two juvenile complaints, four service calls, three suspicious activities, two transports, trespassing, three information, court detail, ID theft.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made three arrests
Three trespassing
Oxford Fire Department:
10:32 – 6000 Archive Circle – pressure washing a building activated the fire alarm
11:11 – Sorority Row & Jackson Ave. – wreck with injuries – assisted EMS with patient care
18:46 – 608 South 11th Street – burned food activated the smoke detector
00:07 – Brown Hall Room 117 – spraying air freshener activated the smoke detector
University Police Department responded to the following incidents:vehicle stops, assist with traffic, accident property, motor vehicle accident
