Farm Bureau Offers Significant Savings with Bundling Coverages

HottyToddy.com’s Steve Vassallo recently visited with Wayne Perkins at Farm Bureau Insurance on West Oxford Loop to learn about some significant savings.

Steve Vassallo: Wayne, tell our readers about your discount savings when policyholders bundle their cars, houses, etc.
Wayne Perkins: We offer significant discounts when our customers insure home, auto and other items all at Farm Bureau.
Vassallo: For clients who also own rental property or are in need of renters insurance, what level of discounts can they anticipate?
Perkins: When a client adds renters insurance, the discounts are then given on the auto and the renter’s policy making for a really sweet deal.
Vassallo: Farm Bureau also insures businesses?
Perkins: The Business Owner’s Policy (BOP) is one of our most competitive policies and includes most type operations. Offices, pharmacies and convenience stores are just a few examples of what we insure.
Vassallo: What about items such as farm equipment, boats, trailers, golf carts and even animals?
Perkins: We specialize in farm liability, equipment and just about anything you own that needs coverage.
Vassallo: Is it accurate to state that Farm Bureau also insures clients for liability policies involving raw land?
Perkins: Absolutely … farm liability and in some cases, personal liability.
Vassallo: An issue that we hear about frequently involves mold in houses. Can homeowners insure against this problem?
Perkins: It is covered in all our current policies at no additional charge.
Vassallo: We have not yet discussed whole life insurance as well as term life policies.
Perkins: We have a complete portfolio of life insurance products. Our agents can help explain all policy types.
Vassallo: Your business is certainly growing with some seven agents.
Perkins: You know, we have tried to keep up with the growth in Oxford and Lafayette County by adding agents and offices as needed. We want every customer to have their own agent to personally take care of all their insurance questions. We currently have seven agents and eight customer service staff.
Vassallo: Wayne, what advice can you offer to potential clients who are interested in reducing their insurance expenses in 2018?
Perkins: Contact one of our agents for an insurance review of their current coverages. Many times, we are able to make suggestions about coverages that result in savings. People need to really understand what coverages they have or don’t have. Our agents are trained to do just that.
