Ole Miss baseball LHP Ryan Rolison got named SEC Pitcher of the Week, by the league office on Monday after a dominating performance on the mound against Winthrop.
The Southpaw worked 5.0 scoreless innings with a career-high 12 strikeouts. He led all SEC pitchers on the weekend with his 12 strikeouts, that were the most for any Rebel hurler in the past two seasons, and is the most in a season-opener since Lance Lynn in 2008.
Rolison kept the Winthrop batters guessing on pitches as he fanned the first 10 of 12 swinging and gave up a leadoff double in the third inning.
Ole Miss returns to the diamond on Tuesday as they play host to the Memphis Tigers. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
