Civil Matter, Shoplifting and More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Six alarms, civil matter, two disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, fire department assist, two improper parking, littering, motorist assist, residential burglary, shoplifting, four suspicious activity, suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, theft from a motor vehicle, two welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated nine accident, 31 tickets and made the following arrests:
DUI 1st, Careless Driving
DUI 1st, Suspended Driver’s License-Implied Consent, No Insurance
Public Drunk, Shoplifting, Trespassing
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, two alarms, harassment, 12 service calls, suspicious activity, three welfare concerns, two transports, information, follow up, traffic complaint, littering/dumping.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrests
Contempt warrant
Oxford Fire Department:
17:27 – Brittany Woods – a 13-year-old child was stuck up to his knees in mud – rescue got him out
17:40 – The Connection Bldg. 1 – pull station fire alarm malfunction
23:57 – ATO House – someone pulled a fire alarm pull station as a prank
06:28 – Rubin Dr. – tree limb knocked a power line down – stood by until Oxford Electric arrived
University Police Department responded to the following incidents:
Five vehicle stop, disorderly conduct, suspicious person, possession of paraphernalia.
