Rebels Fall to the Tigers on the Banks of the Bayou

Ole Miss could not find success down in the Bayou of Louisiana on Saturday as they fell 82-66 to the LSU Tigers.
The Rebels (11-14, 4-8 SEC) fell behind early to the Tigers as they jumped out to an early 8-0 lead. Ole Miss battled their way back in the game behind the play of Justas Furmanavicius who drained a three pointer and sparked a 20-3 run. The Rebels would then take a 35-34 lead at the 1:27 mark of the first half.
At the half, Ole Miss and LSU went into the locker rooms knotted up at 37 points a piece.
Bruce Stevens and Deandre Burnett scored 16 points each for the red and blue. Breein Tyree found the bottom of the net for 10 of his own.
The Tigers were unstoppable on the offense as they built 20 point leads over Ole Miss twice in the second half.
Ole Miss shot 37 percent from the field and hit 6 of 29 attempts from behind the arc.
Ole Miss plays host to the Arkansas Razorbacks on Tuesday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
