Oxford police responded to the following calls: Four alarms, animal complaint, four disturbing the peace, improper parking, joyriding, larceny, motorist assist, two suspicious activity, two suspicious person, trespassing.
Oxford police investigated 10 accident, 26 tickets and made the following arrests:
Domestic Violence-Simple assault
DUI1st, No seatbelt, No insurance, Possession of Paraphernalia
DUI 1st, speeding, No Driver’s License, No Insurance
No Driver’s License, No Insurance, Expired Tag, 5 FTA’s
Noise Violation-Vehicle, No Insurance
Two shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, alarm, two auto burglaries, grand larceny, three harassment, malicious mischief, three service calls, two suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, five transports, follow up, natural cause of death, fire call, traffic detail.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
17:52 – Chi Omega house – kitchen staff cooking activated a smoke detector
University Police Department responded to the following incidents:
Five vehicle stops, speeding, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, suspicious person.
