Oxford police responded to the following calls: Six alarms, two animal complaint, three disturbing the peace, two fire department assist, improper parking, motorist assist, petit larceny, public drunk, shoplifting, suspicious activity, two suspicious person, two suspicious vehicles, welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated six accident, 35 tickets and made the following arrests:
Two Possession of Paraphernalia, Careless Driving
Two Public Drunk
Possession of Schedule 1 drug, fake ID, No Tag
DUI 1st, No Tag, Possession of Paraphernalia
DUI 1st, Expired Tag, No License, No Insurance
No Driver’s license, no insurance, no tag
Warrant served x2, no license, no seatbelt
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, three alarms, four animal complaints, four disturbances, petit larceny, juvenile complaint, five service calls, four suspicious activities, welfare concern, transport, information, two reckless driving.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrests
contempt warrant
Oxford Fire Department:
09:39 – Laundry Mat at 1741 University Ave. – a washer was smoking – unplugged the machine
11:46 – Campus Walk Bldg. H – alarm company working on the system
17:43 – Brookdale Assisted Living – a smoke detector was full of water causing an activation
University Police Department responded to the following incidents:
Trespass, accident property damage, accident hit n run, three vehicle stops, assist with traffic, harassing telephone call.
