Fans will have the opportunity to see the Rebels play away from Oxford at least five times on television. Swayze Field, meanwhile, will be home to three nationally televised games this year, as viewers are able to get a feel for one of the nation’s best college baseball atmospheres. The remaining 28 games at home will be available to watch on SEC Network + and the WatchESPN app.
The Rebels’ first taste at the national spotlight will be March 16 when they welcome cross-divisional foe Tennessee to town for a weekend series. The Friday night opener will be featured on SEC Network’s Bases Loaded coverage, which features every SEC team in a live compilation of opening day league action.
Just a weekend later, the Rebels hit the road to face Texas A&M in a fierce series in College Station, and fans not making the trek will be able to catch both the Friday and Saturday games on SEC Network.
Ole Miss will once again be featured in an SEC matchup on the conference’s network when the road Rebels take on Vanderbilt on April 15 for a weekend series, the last game of which will be broadcast on ESPNU.
Later in the season, the team’s annual Governor’s Cup game against rival Mississippi State at Trustmark Park will be carried by SEC Network on April 24, as will two of the team’s next three games. Following the midweek game vs. the Bulldogs, the Rebels welcome LSU to town on April 26 where they will appear on the network for the Friday opener of the series. The Sunday game against the Tigers on April 28 will be one of three Ole Miss games to be televised on ESPNU.
The team has one last game on SEC Network when they travel to Columbia, S.C. to take on the Gamecocks on May 6, before taking on Auburn at home on ESPNU on May 10.
SEC Network Showcases 76 Games
SEC Thursday Night Baseball continues on ESPNU and SEC Network, featuring a preseason Top 25 team nearly every week of the regular season. In addition, the SEC Network schedule also airs a Bases Loaded special on the opening night of conference play, Friday, March 16.
Wildcard Weekend
Enhancing wildcard days from previous seasons, ESPNU and SEC Network have designated May 17-19 as “Wildcard Weekend.” The two networks will select the most compelling SEC games to televise over the final weekend of conference action.
The Rebels will open the 2018 season Feb. 16 when they welcome Winthrop to town for a three-game series.
