Participating in the Reese’s Senior Bowl this past Saturday, Senior Marquis Haynes turned heads as he awaits the fate of the NFL draft in April.
Haynes might not be the typical size or build for the NFL draft, but after his performance in the game, recruiters may be thinking different.
Tricking his blocker, Haynes made a tackle on the North team’s quarterback, which lead to a fumble. Marcus Davenport, South team’s defensive end, was able to pick it up and score a 6-point return.
Standing at 6’3 and 233 pounds, Haynes could shake things up on the defense for the NFL. After this play, he could definitely find a spot in third downs to change up the game.
Chris Hudgison, WLBT 3 Sports Director in Jackson, caught up with Haynes before the game.
