Fake ID's, Shoplifting and More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Two alarms, animal complaint, auto burglary, burglary building, careless driving, two disturbing the peace, embezzlement, false pretense, fire department assist, improper parking, malicious mischief, two motorist assist, shoplifting, six suspicious activities, two suspicious persons, four welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated five accident, 51 tickets and made the following arrests:
DUI 1st, Suspended Driver’s License, Fake ID
DUI 1st, Careless Driving
DUI 1st, Fake ID, Ran a stop sign
Possession of Paraphernalia, Speeding
Shoplifting
No Driver’s License, No Insurance
Disturbing the Peace
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents:

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
14:28 – St. Anthony’s Hall – call canceled
15:51 – Rooster’s – cook forgot to turn the vent-a-hood on activating a smoke detector
00:29 – Oxford Square Townhomes – someone ran over an electrical box which started a grass fire – extinguished the fire and stood by for Oxford Electric
University Police Department responded to the following incidents:
Seven vehicle stop, information, accident property damage, ambulance needed, attempted suicide, speeding, assist with traffic.
