Ole Miss Bookstore Offers "Harry Potter Book Night" on Feb. 1
Young wizards, witches and Muggles can enjoy an evening of beastly games, snacks and contests at “Harry Potter Book Night: Fantastic Beasts,” to be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, at The Ole Miss Bookstore.
The event is free and open to the public.
This year marks the fourth anniversary of Harry Potter Book Night, which is celebrated worldwide in honor of J.K. Rowling’s hugely series of popular novels.
The Ole Miss Bookstore will host a Harry Potter costume contest and a Beastly Brain-Teaser Quiz, along with other kid-friendly activities.
Participants will pick up their Hogwarts acceptance letters by “owl post,” then get sorted into houses. The venue will be decorated in Harry Potter style, with snacks and games inspired by the cuisine in Rowling’s books.
“We are so excited to be joining up with schools, libraries, other bookstores and community centers all over the world to celebrate the fourth Harry Potter Book Night,” said Katie Wallace, The Ole Miss Bookstore’s trade book manager. “We have always been fans of the Harry Potter series and look forward to sharing the magic with everyone.”
