When the Goodman girls knew I was in Methodist in bad shape they didn’t call anyone, they didn’t panic, they didn’t waste any time, they just turned on one heel and rushed to my side.
God Bless all the Park Drive kids of Oxford, Mississippi, this Christmas and forever. Bless the memory of what we had there once upon our childhoods.
John Cofield is a HottyToddy.com writer and one of Oxford’s leading folk historians. He is the son of renowned university photographer, Jack Cofield. His grandfather, J.R. “Colonel” Cofield, was William Faulkner’s personal photographer and for decades was the Ole Miss yearbook photographer. Cofield attended Ole Miss as well.
