Grand Larceny, Joyriding, and More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Two 911 hang ups, five alarms, ambulance assist, animal complaint, careless driving, two domestic disturbances, elderly assist two fire department assist, grand larceny, improper parking, joyriding, shoplifting, simple assault, two suspicious activities, four suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, five welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated four accident, nine tickets and made the following arrest:

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Six accidents, simple assault, two alarms, three residential burglaries, disturbance, three petit larceny, three service calls, two suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, transport, information, information, unauthorized use of vehicle, fraud, reckless driving, civil matter, stand by.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
15:00 – Oxford Uncommon – maintenance blowing out hallways activated a smoke detector
15:55 – Rooster’s – kitchen smoke detector activated by employees
16:47 & 17:26 – University Parking Garage – 3rd level at north stairwell fire alarm pull station activation due to moisture in the alarm
