Liz Grant: The Dating Game Gets a New Head Coach in Oxford
Liz Grant is Oxford’s new dating coach.
Matt Luke isn’t the only new head coach in Oxford. With Tinder, Bumble and other dating sites expanding, Heart À La Carte, a dating service and life consulting firm that helps women and men learn how to date and make better life choices, opened its doors recently in the heart of Oxford (so to speak).
“It has always been my dream to pursue becoming a dating coach,” said Liz Grant, founder of Heart À La Carte. “After all, I was born on Valentine’s Day.”
“My goal is to help women and men, especially college-aged and young professionals, learn how to date and discern who may be the right choice from the beginning so that they can avoid the consequences that result from being in the wrong relationship,” Grant added.
A native of St. Petersburg, Fla., Grant is a graduate of Florida State University and resides in Oxford. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), a certified Parent Coordinator, and is working on her professional certification with the Coaching Training Institute (CTI).
Her services include private coaching in person, over the phone, or by video chat. She also offers image makeovers and supper clubs for single women, sorority members, and women that are divorced or widowed, where issues of dating and relationships are shared and discussed.Grant even meets clients in their home to evaluate if the home is “date-ready.”
“I think this business is exactly what Oxford needs,” said Ole Miss student Sophie Durham. “Not only does Liz help with your dating life, but she also helps you shape a healthy lifestyle.”
Grant will be available to speak to groups and share her dating strategies while bringing humorous, relatable and straight-to-the-point advice.
