Oxford police responded to the following calls:  Alarm, three ambulance assist, careless driving, four disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, k9 search, malicious mischief, no building permit, noise violations, three suspicious activity, two suspicious persons, two suspicious vehicles, theft from a motor vehicle, welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated  11 accident, 27 tickets and made the following arrest:
DUI 1st Careless driving
No Driver’s License, No Tag, Possession of Paraphernalia
Possession of Paraphernalia switched tag
Public Drunk
suspended Driver’s License
Warrant Served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, two alarms, animal complaint, two residential burglary, three disturbances, two petit larceny, malicious mischief, four service calls, two suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, transport, information, fraud, reckless driving, two court details, road obstruction, 14 civil process served.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrests

Oxford Fire Department:
11:16 – New Baptist – kitchen area smoke detector malfunction
16:24 – 1936 University Ave. – the smell of something burning – they had turned the heater on for the 1st time
17:07 – Townhouse Suites by Marriott room 308 – shower steam activated the smoke detector
University Police: be release on Monday
