Friday, Dec. 1, is the deadline for local and regional tunesmiths to enter the Small Hall Songwriters Contest & Showcase.
The event will be held from 7-9 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 20, and kicks off the Pop-Up Oxford Festival held that week.

Singer-songwriters are invited to submit up to two original, self-penned songs per entry. The songs should not have been previously published, recorded or released under contract with a third party. They can be submitted online or by mail.
Contest finalists will be announced Dec. 21.
The Small Hall is a monthly listening-room concert series promoting an intimate concert experience to connect songwriters with music enthusiasts. It’s held on the first Wednesday of each month at 1109 Van Buren Ave. on the Oxford Square.
