Burglary, Motorist Assist, and More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Four alarms, burglary-non-forced, two careless driving, four disturbing the peace, K9 search, lost property, motorist assist, possession of paraphernalia, suspicious person, welfare concern.
Oxford police investigated one accident, 15 tickets and made the following arrest:
Animal running at large
Discharging a firearm in the city limits
shoplifting
trespassing
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, four alarms, two disturbances, two grand larceny, petit larceny, harassment, service call, three suspicious activities, five transports, two follow up, reckless driving, civil matter.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
22:00 – The Hub Apt. 4302-C – the ceiling fan cord wrapped around the ceiling fan which stopped the blades from turning which caused the fan motor to start smoking FD untangled the cord.
