Pets of the Week: Meet Skipper and Nugget!

Skipper (left) and Nugget!
As winter approaches the Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society takes in more mature animals than in other months. Mature dogs have been struggling to find homes, so expect to see dogs who are over a year old in the next few weeks!
This week features two dogs who have very different personalities in Skipper and Nugget.
Skipper was surrendered to the Humane Society by his owner in early August. Skipper is an interjected mountain dog mix. He is very good around other dogs, and he loves to play! He bounces everywhere and loves to go on walks. He also loves to be outside and run around at the park. Skipper would be a great dog for a family, especially one with kids.
Nugget is a little over a year old and has recently been turned back into the Humane Society after being in foster care for a while. She is a pit bull mix with big brown eyes. She is house trained and would be perfect for any college students or families. She loves to snuggle up with you and is very gentle. She will go on walks with you and loves to be petted. Nugget is very sweet and desires to be adopted!
Visit the Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society and see all of the pets they have. Many animals are seeking to find a home and what better time than during the Holiday Season?
OLHS is located on McElroy Drive in Oxford, close to Lamar Park. They are open Monday-Saturday, Noon-5 p.m., and can be reached at (662)-236-7631.
