Disturbing the Peace, Suspicious Person, and More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Alarm, animal complaint, three disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, fire department assist, three improper parking, lost property, malicious mischief, motorist assist, noise violations, petit larceny, recovered property, two suspicious activity, three suspicious persons, theft, theft from a motor vehicle, four welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 11 accidents, nine tickets and made the following arrest:
DUI 1st, Possession of Paraphernalia, Domestic violence-simple assault
Possession of controlled substance
Five Possession of paraphernalia
Public Drunk
Shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, alarm, disturbance, harassment, two service calls, two suspicious activities, three welfare concerns, scam, transport, information, follow up, reckless driving, civil matter.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made four arrests
Two possession of paraphernalia
Possession of cocaine
Child support warrant
Oxford Fire Department:
08:27 – 522 North 15 Street – dining room smoke detector malfunction
10:56 – Hwy. 7 North / Sisk Ave. area – 2 separate small grass fires
18:13 – Brookdale (Old Azalea Gardens) – maintenance set off bug bombs
University Police: vehicle stops EMS intoxication, accident hit and run, possession of Fake ID.
