Oxford police responded to the following calls:  911hang up, four alarms, animal complaint, burglary, careless driving, three disturbing the peace, larceny, noise violation, scam, shoplifting, two suspicious activity, suspicious person, theft from motor vehicle, four welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 11 accidents, 27 tickets and made the following arrest:
Domestic Violence-Simple Assault
DUI 1st, Reckless Driving, No Insurance, Possession of Paraphernalia
MIP
Possession of Fake ID
Two possession of paraphernalia
Four shoplifting
Warrants Served
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, alarm, animal complaint, two disturbances, juvenile complaint, five service calls, suspicious activity, two welfare concerns, transport, two follow up, traffic complaint, littering/dumping, two civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
07:55 – Hwy. 6 East about 1-mile past Hwy. 7 – a wreck with entrapment – extricated one person
09:37 – State Veterans Home – the fire alarm panel shorted out
11:46 – Coliseum Drive & Hwy. 6 – wreck with injuries – assisted EMS with loading patient
17:03 – South 18th Street (no house # given in report) – resident was burning leaves – FD advised him there is no burning in the city limits and extinguished the fire
17:42 – Gertrude Ford & West Jackson – wreck with no injuries – FD cut battery cables to one vehicle and stood by for wreckers
00:22 – ATO house – 2nd-floor fire alarm pulled as a prank
University Police: vehicle stop, petit larceny, accident property damage, possession of paraphernalia, suspicious vehicle, disturbance, assist with traffic, no drivers license.
