Oxford police responded to the following calls: Three 911 hang ups, 14 alarms, two ambulance assist two animal complaint, three careless driving, four civil matters, credit card fraud, six disturbing the peace, elderly assist, six improper parking, three k9 search, four lost property, malicious mischief, three noise violations, three petit larceny, phone harassment, three property damage, public drunk, three shoplifting, four simple assault, 17 suspicious activities, 12 suspicious persons, two suspicious vehicle, seven theft from a motor vehicle, trespassing, seven welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 31 accidents, 102 tickets and made the following arrest:

No Driver’s License, No Insurance, No Tail lights, Out of Jurisdiction Warrant

3 Possession of Paraphernalia

15 Public Drunk

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: seven accidents, eight alarms, four animal complaints, auto burglary, two residential burglaries, 17 disturbances, grand larceny, two harassment, 16 service calls, five suspicious activities, vandalism, seven welfare concern, scam, transports, two information, two follow-ups, three traffic complaints, three reckless driving, four civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made two arrests
DUI 1st, ran stop sign, failure to yield, no driver’s license, reckless driving, no insurance
felon in possession of a firearm warrant
Oxford Fire Department:
11/9 – 07:11 – New Baptist Hospital – kitchen smoke detector malfunction
11/9 – 11:47 – 101 North Thacker Loop area – wreck with injuries – provided 1st aid until EMS arrived
11/9 – 12:21 – East Side Rebel Club – kitchen smoke detector malfunction
11/9 – 12:26 – University Inn – 35 year old female with chest pains – EMS already on scene
11/9 – 12:51 – The Connection apt. #516 – pizza boxes left in the oven caught fire – out before FD arrived
11/9 – 17:49 – Kappa Delta house room 21 – hair dryer and curling iron activated the smoke detector
11/10 – 02:49 – Sigma Pi house – students wrestling bump the fire alarm
11/10 – 19:20 – Oxford Health and Rehab – a resident pulled a fire alarm
11/ 11 – 01:59 – ATO house room 17 – resident smoking activated the smoke detector
11/11 – 10:20 – Hwy. 7 south – the wreck with a vehicle fire
11/11 – 17:24 – Canterbury Crest #103 – burned food activated the smoke detector
11/11 – 19:24 – Pittman Hall – trash can fire – out upon arrival
11/11 – 21:23 – 13 CR 356 – carbon monoxide detector activation – cut the gas off to the appliances and the LP tank
11/12 – 16:56 – 520 North Lamar – smoke detector malfunction
11/12 – 19:46 – Double Quick – 26-year-old female with chest pains and trouble breathing – monitored vital signs until EMS arrived
11/12 – 20:08 – 1203 West Jackson Ave. area – assisted stranded motorist by changing a flat tire
11/12 – 22:09 – The Links – caller advised her car had leaked all the gas out – FD put oil dry on the gas leak area
