Get Fit and Help the Hungry at Sunday's Gobble Wobble 5K Run
As the holidays are fast approaching, U Club Townhomes at Oxford will host a Gobble Wobble 5K Run on Sunday. Mid-South Food Bank will sponsor the event.
The run will take place at 9 a.m. at Avent Park. It’s free to participate in this event, and for every participant, U Club will donate on behalf of Ole Miss to the Million Meals Challenge.
Million Meals Challenge aids the 23 percent of people in the region that live in poverty.
“We’re so excited for the Gobble Wobble 5K,” said Kayla Allen, U Club Townhomes at Oxford’s General Manager. “This event is our chance to beat Mississippi State in the Million Meals Challenge, fight hunger in Mississippi, and have some fun, all benefiting the Mid-South Food Bank and the Oxford Pantry. So don’t miss out! Here’s your chance to get fit and give back!”
To register for the event click here or text “gobble” to 313131. Groups or clubs can register together, and the largest group to participate will win $250.
