911 Hang-ups, Scams, and More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, abandon vehicle, four alarms, ambulance assist, two animal complaints, careless driving, disturbance, disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, elderly assist, K9 search, lost property, scam, shoplifting, two suspicious activity, suspicious person, suspicious vehicle.
Oxford police investigated nine accidents, 27 tickets and made the following arrest:

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, scam, domestic violence, harassment, service call, five suspicious activities, two scams, two transports, trespassing, traffic complaint, court detail, civil matter.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrests
Aggravated domestic violence
Oxford Fire Department:
A two-car wreck with injuries and provided 1st aid at 1522 West Jackson area.
A wreck near McElroy and the Airport area in which a car rolled over the drivers’ vitals were checked and provided first aid to a cut.
A fire from burned popcorn in a microwave in room 913 of Crosby Hall.
University Police: Harassment, suspicious person, fire, seven vehicle stops, accident hit and run, credit card fraud, sexual battery, assist with traffic.
