Oxford police responded to the following calls: Seven alarms, animal complaint, careless driving, four disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, harassing phone calls, four K9 search, two malicious mischief, motor assist, noise violation, three shoplifting, simple assault, three suspicious activity, two suspicious person, two welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated seven accidents, 14 tickets and made the following arrest:
Fake ID, Speeding
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, DUI 1st, Possession of schedule 4 drug, Seatbelt violation
Warrant served, suspended driving license, no insurance, failure to yield at a right of way
three shoplifting
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, four alarms, two animal complaints, two disturbances, petit larceny, two harassment, four service calls, three suspicious activities, welfare concern, two information, follow up, unauthorized use of vehicle, two reckless driving, civil matter.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made one arrests

15:02 – Town Village 1550 University Ave. – public service assisting the manager of building reset the elevator
16:51 – Solo Condos – 2nd-floor lobby smoke detector malfunction
17:13 – New Baptist Hospital – steam cleaning an area activated a smoke detector
21:55 – 311 Bramlett Blvd. – 3rd-floor smoke detector malfunction
University Police: Telephone harassment, bicycle larceny, ambulance call, accident property damage, vehicle stop, assist with traffic.
