Domestic Disturbance, Harassment, and More in Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls:  911 Hang up, six alarms, ambulance assist, civil matter, three disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, fire department assist, three grand larceny, harassment, k9 search, three malicious mischief, petit larceny, property damage, scam, three suspicious activity, suspicious person.
Oxford police investigated 11 accidents, 27 tickets and made the following arrest:
DUI 1st, careless driving
DUI 1st, Possession of Paraphernalia
Possession of less than 30mg of marijuana, no tag
Two possession of paraphernalia
Public Drunk
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, three alarms, animal complaint, disturbance, petit larceny, service call, three suspicious activities, two welfare concerns, two follow-ups, two traffic complaints, natural cause of death.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
11:07 – The Uncommon (514 East Jackson Ave. – the smell of gas/smoke call – it was maintenance using a leaf blower
22:44 – Sigma Phi house – using a smoke machine activated a 2nd-floor smoke detector
University Police: Suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, property damage, petit larceny, emergency call, vehicle stop.
