Oxford police responded to the following calls: Three 911 hangups, 10 alarms, ambulance assist, three animal complaints, careless driving, civil matter, credit card fraud, 16 disturbing the peace, four domestic disturbance, five improper parking, three k9 search, seven lost property, four malicious mischief, four motorist assist, no headlights, no tail lights, six noise violations, petit larceny, property damage, reported DUI, shoplifting, two simple assaults, six suspicious activity, six suspicious persons, three welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 25 accidents, 73 tickets and made the following arrest:

10/26 – 08:57 – Thacker Loop and Hwy. 6 – wreck with injuries, FD stabilized one patient with a c-collar then helped EMS load patients into ambulance
10/26 – 12:46 – 1210 Office Park Drive – call was cancelled
10/26 – 15:58 – 3A Earnest Way – resident wanted FD to check her wiring and gas before she turned on the heat
10/26 – 17:40 – Newk’s Galleria Mall – female drove her car into the patio area and then hit the building – no injuries
10/26 – 19:55 – Shoemaker Hall – paper shredder shorted out making the paper smolder – FD cleared the smoke out of the building
10/26 – 22:57 – Fraternity Row & West Jackson – wreck no injuries
10/27 – 04:04 – Old Baptist Hospital – general fire alarm malfunction
10/27 – 13:27 – Kappa Delta – room 21 – heat from curling iron activated the smoke detector
10/27 – 13:51 – St. Anthony’s Hall – resident blew out a candle and the smoke activated a smoke detector
10/27 – 16:41 – Brookdale Assisted Living Center – someone pulled a fire alarm
10/27 – 17:15 – Brookdale – general fire alarm malfunction
10/27 – 18:02 – University Ave. & Hwy. 7 – wreck with NO injuries
10/27 – 19:27 – 203 Williams Ave. – resident left a plastic utensil on a stove eye and caught it on fire
10/27 – 22:30 – ATO house – 2nd floor east smoke detector malfunction
10/27 – 23:37 – ATO house – room #5 smoke detector malfunction
10/28 – 05:39 – Pi Kappa Phi house – kitchen smoke detector malfunction
10/28 – 15:25 – 1518 Jefferson Ave. – resident met FD outside advising a child activated the stairway smoke detector
10/28 – 17:57 – High Point Coffee – a child pulled the fire alarm
10/28 – 21:52 – Yerby Center – someone dumped hot coals out which smoldered and caught the side of the building on fire
University Police: Ambulance needed, possession of alcohol, fake ID, petit larceny, harassment, trespass, intoxicated person, fire, hit and run, vehicle stop, public drunk, assist with traffic.
