DUI's, Financial Scam and More in Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: Three suspicious activity, malicious mischief, six disturbing the peace, five careless driving, abuse of 911, petite larceny, simple assault, theft from a motor vehicle, four alarms, fire department assist, burglary, two welfare concern, harassing phone call, two parking, civil matter, financial scam, noise violation.
Oxford police investigated 17 accidents, 24 tickets and made the following arrest:
Three DUI 1st
Possession of Paraphernalia
four Public Drunk
two possession of schedule 2 drug
warrant served
Possession of Marijuana in Motor Vehicle
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Two accidents, alarm, residential burglary, two disturbances, petit larceny, service call, suspicious activity/persons, two welfare concerns, transport, follow up, information, three reckless driving, road obstruction, four civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made two arrests
Breaking and Entering
No driver’s license, no insurance and two contempt warrants
Oxford Fire Department:
Fire department will be released on Monday
University Police: Information, 12 vehicle stops, MIP, possession of paraphernalia, patrol activity, fire alarm, vandalism to a vehicle, accident property damage.
