MCCB's Thurmond Visits Northwest

Northwest Mississippi Community College President, Dr. Gary Lee Spears (right) welcomes Cheryl Thurmond (left) a member of the Mississippi Community College Board (MCCB), to the October Board of Trustees meeting. Thurmond was appointed by Gov. Phil Bryant in 2012 to represent the first congressional district. During the meeting, Thurmond gave a brief report on the work community colleges are doing around the state, and praised Northwest for its leadership in various projects.
