Home2 Suites by Hilton Opens Today in Oxford

Chamblee Hospitality Group’s newest hotel, Home2 Suites by Hilton, is now open in Oxford.

Located on the corner of South Lamar Boulevard and Belk Boulevard, across from Baptist Memorial Hospital, the 93 all-suites hotel offers fully-equipped kitchens in each suite, indoor and outdoor lounge areas including grills, fire pits and an outdoor saline pool.
Luke Chamblee, president of Chamblee Hospitality Group and developer of The Graduate hotel, said the extended-stay focused hotel is the perfect fit for Oxford.

“Oxford has nurses, professors and other professions that are coming in for extended periods of time, and that’s why it’s designed to be something between a hotel and an apartment while at the same time having the amenities and feel of a guest coming in for a one-night stay will expect,” Chamblee said. “We need more quality hotels in this market, and we felt that this particular Hilton brand was an ideal fit for both Oxford and this location.”
Most Home2 Suites are similar in décor containing signature green and orange, but Oxford’s newest hotel has quite a special touch that includes Ole Miss red and blue.
“We had a lot of fun designing the Graduate and we spent a lot of time designing this one too.  We are appreciative that Hilton allowed us the design flexibility to put our personal touch on their brand,” Chamblee said. “Our art, both in the common areas and guestrooms, are from artists with direct Mississippi ties. There are some creative visuals of the Grove, Mississippi landscapes, our historic Square with its courthouse, and many other scenic images that Oxonians are proud of.”

But that’s not all. Other amenities inside the hotel include Spin2Cycle fitness, a 24-hour business center, Home2 Market grab-and-go items and the Inspired Table, a complimentary breakfast that includes more than 400 potential combinations. And the best part: guests can bring their furry friends to this pet-friendly hotel.
While Chamblee is happy the doors have opened to Home2 Suites, that’s only part of the plan for what will soon become South Lamar Court.
“We have four restaurants: Soul Fish out of Memphis, Marco’s Pizzas, Una Mas Taqueria, First Watch, and Nashville’s most popular group fitness concept, Shed Fitness, coming from Nashville,” Chamblee said,” Chamblee said. “We are also excited about adding Kendal Poole Event Planning, and Nextgear Solutions will bring a fantastic office user to finalize the development. Once we get the whole six acres up by next summer, we’ll have a destination corner with multiple uses that will create great energy, which I’m confident our guests and the community will enjoy.”
