OHS Walks for a Cure Friday in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, Oxford High School invites the community out Friday morning, Oct. 13, to walk for a cure. So, lace up your tennis shoes and join the Chargers in front of the Oxford High School gym for the annual OHS Breast Cancer Walk.
The walk begins at 7:30 a.m. and is expected to last until 8:10 a.m.
Rose Hickey, an OHS teacher and event fundraiser for the annual breast cancer walk, wants students, teachers, parents and the community to come out and help raise awareness about early prevention and detection of breast cancer.
Anyone is welcome to participate as there will be no registration.
A light breakfast will be provided for participants, and prizes will be awarded. For more information on the event, contact Rose Hickey at rhickey@oxfordsd.org or call Oxford High School at (662) 234-1562.
