Ole Miss Rebels Prepare for Vanderbilt
This weekend, the Ole Miss Rebels host the Vanderbilt Commodores for this year’s Homecoming game.
Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke met with media on Monday and talked about building on things from the second half of the Auburn game, as the Tigers came away with a 44-23 win.
“Offensively, there are a lot of positives to pull from the game,” Luke said. “Tempo was the best its been, and the offensive line, by far, played its best game. Shea looked much more comfortable; because of that, we have got to finish in the Red Zone.”
Wesley McGriff
Looking at the defensive scheme from the Auburn game moving forward:
“That’s the first thing we asked ourselves when we went into the locker room at halftime,” McGriff said. “Is there something scheme-wise we need to make an adjustment or we need to go to, and then went through all of the explosive plays in the first half. We broke down exactly who gave up the explosive plays and what was the defensive call.”
The Rebels will be looking for their first conference win against Vanderbilt this Saturday afternoon. Ole Miss and the Commodores will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on SEC Network.
