Abandon Vehicle, Noise Violations and More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: Two 911 hang up, two abandon vehicle, three alarms, animal complaint, two careless driving, civil matter, disturbing the peace, noise violation, other agency assist, petit larceny, scam, shoplifting, five suspicious activity, suspicious person, suspicious vehicle, two welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 13 accidents, 14 tickets and made the following arrest:
Two possession of paraphernalia
Possession of paraphernalia, No insurance, Expired Tag, Cutting Corners
Possession of paraphernalia, no seatbelt, no insurance
Two public drunks
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three accidents, simple assault, alarm, animal complaint, two disturbances, grand larceny, two petit larceny, harassment, three service calls, suspicious activity, two welfare concerns, transports, two information, two follow up, road obstruction, civil matter, three civil process served.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made no arrests
Oxford Fire Department:
10:53 – Bondurant Hall room C128 – subject having chest pains – assisted EMS
12:24 – 203 Pegues Road – possible stroke – took vitals and stood by until EMS arrived
16:34 – Hwy 7 South around CR 301 – wreck with injuries – stood by until EMS arrived
19:07 – 310 Longest Road – smell of gas – FD checked house with monitor and didn’t find any leak
22:54 – Faulkner Flats around buildings 3 & 4 – smell of smoke – mulch smoldering – FD extinguished with a water extinguisher
23:18 – Campus Walk Apt. D201 – burned noodles activated the smoke detector
00:07 – Stockard Hall – 7 people stuck on an elevator
University Police: Suspicious vehicle, vehicle stop, accident hit n run, property damage, ambulance needed, harassment, malicious mischief, assist with traffic, intoxicated person, harassing phone calls, disturbance.
