Disturbing the Peace, Welfare Concerns and More in Today's Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, alarm, ambulance assist, three careless driving, civil matter, two disturbing the peace, fire department assist, harassing phone calls, two improper parking, lost property, three malicious mischief, two suspicious activity, three suspicious persons, five welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated eight accidents, 28 tickets and made the following arrest:
Possession of paraphernalia, expired tag
warrant served for domestic violence
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Three alarms, three animal complaints, residential burglary, four disturbances, harassment, four service calls, five suspicious activities, three transports, traffic complaint, fraud, civil matter, grass fire assist.
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department made six arrests
simple assault warrant
domestic violence, simple assault
three gambling
contempt warrant gambling
Oxford Fire Department:
16:02 – West Jackson in front of the old mall – wreck with injuries call – FD did NOT provide any services
17:18 – West Jackson in front of Chick-fil-A – wreck with injuries call – FD checked for injuries and there were NO injuries
22:18 – 112 South 17th Street – smell of gas – there was a gas leak in the house – FD shut the gas off to the house
University Police: Fake Id, intoxicated person, possession of paraphernalia, information, disturbance, vehicle stop, accident hit n run, suspicious vehicle.
