Careless Driving, False Pretense and More in Today's Crime Report

Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, five alarms, ambulance assist, animal complaint, three careless driving, four disturbing the peace, domestic disturbance, false pretense, two improper parking, two motorist assist, noise violation, petit larceny, three suspicious activity, suspicious vehicle.
Oxford police investigated seven accidents, 22 tickets and made the following arrest:

Two Open containers
Possession of paraphernalia
Public drunk, fake ID
Suspended Driver’s License, careless driving
Warrant served for disorderly conduct, suspended license and no seatbelt
Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Accident, five alarms, petit larceny, two harassment, juvenile complaint, service call, five suspicious activity, follow-up, reckless driving, court detail, two civil matters, two assistance calls, seven papers served.

07:43 – 800 Park – pressure washing a building activated a smoke detector
13:19 – 1803 West Jackson area – 2 car wreck with on victim complaining of neck pain – FD placed a c collar on the victim until ambulance arrived
15:32 – Phi Mu house – cooking in the kitchen activated a heat sensor detector
University Police: Intoxicated person, vehicle stops, fake id, suspicious vehicle, EMS police needed, assist with traffic, justice warrant, accident hit n run, accident property damage, suspicious person, MIP possession of beer.
