DUI's, Larceny And More In This Weekends Crime Report
Oxford police responded to the following calls: 911 hang up, 13 alarms, ambulance assist, animal complaint, careless driving, civil matter, credit card fraud, disturbances, six disturbing the peace, fire department assist, improper parking, local ordinance violation, lost property, two malicious mischief, five motorist assist, obstructing traffic, other agency assist, phone harassment, scam, shoplifting, simple assault, stolen animal, suspicious persons, suspicious vehicle, welfare concerns.
Oxford police investigated 24 accidents, 61 tickets and made the following arrest:

Lafayette Sheriff’s Department responded to the following incidents: Nine accidents, eight alarms, three animal complaints, eight disturbances, three domestic violence, three petit larceny, three harassment, juvenile complaint, 12 service calls, 12 suspicious activities, four welfare concerns, five transports, information, follow-up, traffic complaint, fraud, reckless driving, civil matters.
Lafayette Sheriff’s department made four arrests
2 domestic violence, simple assault
1 disorderly conduct
1 possession of firearm by a felon

9/15 – 09:19 – Hwy 7 North – one car wreck, no entrapment, assisted EMS
9/15 – 20:16 – 1603 West Jackson Ave. – 2 car wreck, no entrapment, assisted EMS
9/15 – 22:47 – Oxford Uncommon 514 Jackson Ave East – 15 people stuck on an elevator
9/15 – 23:31 – The Village #206 – smoke detectors beeping
9/16 – 02:49 – 400 Vivian Street – subject had chest pains – assisted EMS
9/16 – 14:13 – Townhouse Suites by Marriott room 308 – burned popcorn activated the smoke detector
9/16 – 21:38 – University Circle at the Statue – wreck with entrapment
9/17 – 08:32 – Brookdale Assisted Living – nurse stuck on an elevator
9/17 – 17:32 – Hermitage Gardens – resident pulled a fire alarm
9/17 – 20:52 – AOPi house – call canceled
9/18 – 02:48 – Vaught Hemingway Stadium South End Zone – sprinkler system pump malfunction
9/18 – 06:00 – Hwy 6 in front of Exxon – 2 car wreck with entrapment
University Police: Vehicle stop, accident hit n run, ambulance needed, petit larceny, serving a warrant, processing warrants, accident property damage, DUI, sexual battery, assist with traffic, suspicious vehicle, fake ID, vandalism, EMS, public drunk, intoxicated person, harassment.
