Liv Nault Selected MACJC Goalkeeper Of The Week
For the first time in her young Northwest Mississippi Community College career, freshman Liv Nault has been selected as the MACJC Goalkeeper of the Week for the opening week of the junior college soccer season.
In 180 minutes of playing time, Nault was tested against 21 shots on goal through the first three matches of the season against Meridian, Gulf Coast and Southwest Mississippi. She collected 20 saves and allowed just one goal in the Lady Rangers’ 1-0 loss to Gulf Coast.
A Southaven native, Nault spent time between the posts and in the midfield at DeSoto Central High School, scoring six goals. She also played golf and volleyball, winning numerous all-division and all-star honors in the latter.
Nault and the Lady Rangers (2-2, 0-1) will return to action on Friday, Sept. 8 at north division foe East Central. Kickoff is slated for a 1 p.m. start in Decatur.
